REVALUATION OF WASTE STREAMS BY CHEMICAL RECYCLING

In addition to existing initiatives for the regeneration of waste streams through mechanical recycling ( f.i. production of plastic granulates) and generating energy from waste streams, chemical recycling of these waste streams are a more circular solution because it reduces the waste materials to its origin, usually oil.

USED CONSTRUCTION STEEL REMANUFACTURING AND CERTIFICATION

Used steel is being recycled for many years now, becoming raw material for steel ovens for the production of new steel. Such process demands for a huge energy consumption (melting process) and goes with a high CO2 emission rate.

The building industry in the Netherlands and other countries will increasingly have to be made more sustainable and circular. Not to the least for reasons of forthcoming EU legislation. By re-manufacturing of used construction steel from dismantled or demolished buildings, upgrading it to a quality equal to brand new construction steel, a huge saving in use of iron ore and coal will be achieved, as well as Terra Watt hours of energy savings, therewith also a substantial reduction of CO2 emissions.
